Secret Agent Sam 4

I really loved playing Apogee's Secret Agent (aka SAM) when I was younger. This is my proof-of-concept prototype continuation. Developed in Lua with LÖVE. I've wanted to write a 2D side-scrolling platformer since junior high school. I've taken a run at this genre of project probably a half-dozen times, usually getting bogged down in writing a reusable engine instead of the game. Finally decided I was going to hack together the dumbest, simplest code that got the job done and just build the game. Forget making it pretty or reusable, I wanted to finally be able to say that I wrote a 2D platformer so I could get this monkey off my back.
